World Cup 2010 - analysis and predictions

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Historical fact

Based on historical data, no team from Europe has ever lifted the World Cup outside of Europe. A host country of the continent finally won every World Cup except Brazil in 1958 when she won in Sweden. When the first World Cup on Asian soil, held in 2002 in Korea and Japan, the eventual winner was not an Asian country, but Brazil again. Asian countries were not ready to win, even though South Korea wasto close. These are the historical facts of World Cup in the last 100 plus years. Eight years later, do you think an African country is actually ready, ground lift the World Cup in their home? Tollkühn are the ones to bet against history.

Our approach is to bet on a South American country lift the World Cup again outside Europe, money in a country with African history to do something with, to a first.

The analysis of theTeams

Brazil to win often, and their chances are quite low at 4.5, but still good. Some money must go to them.

Argentina is the dark horse. Not many people give them a chance because they have a certain eccentric Diego Maradona at their head. You have wonderfully talented player available and I have the feeling that they all eat their words their critics by sticking in spite of all unwanted attention is Diego. Reminds me a bitItaly at the last World Cup. The Italians had a lot of trouble with team spirit, someone dies and so on. But they managed to use tool to be added to the team to get a bond to common effective Cup play football to win.

England will be assessed as usual. Fabio Capello is just them so far. The story is not good to be with this talented lot of players. Gerard, Rooney, Lampard, Terry has a good World Cup, but only to the semifinalsagain. I have a strange feeling that it goes out on penalties again. Guess who missed the decisive penalty?

My Portugal is famous go in round one this time. Too bad they are in the group of death. They are too dependent on Ronaldo. I'm afraid, Carlos Scolari is not this time. Anyway, apart from Ronaldo, the other players all mediocre.

I like the African teams. This World Cup could only be her. In the last World Championships, shehave been shown to the world, are sent to the talented and done the best. Remember, Roger Milla and Cameroon. Now with even more high-profile players in Europe and especially with better technical coach involved, and on their home soil, this could be the World Cup that new paths are taken. The first African nation to the ground, lift the World Cup on home? It is not South Africa, not with Piennar kind of player. The actualCaliber players are with the Ivory Coast and Ghana as well. Players like Drogba, Toure, Kalou, Essien are great players with great experience. You could just take the next big leap for African players.

As for the Asian teams, I think she had to have her. It is neither the time nor place to bring in another great performance this time. Teams underestimate their abilities in 2002. You will not make the same mistake again.

Spain. Sigh .... They have the lowest. Although talented, they fall short against the South Americans. Winning the European championship is one thing. Winning the World Cup against Brazil and Argentina is different. Moreover, they are not in Europe. Good luck to them.

Germany and Italy? Their era is over. Check out their league at the moment. Hard to imagine they come away with winners from Europe.

World Cup 2010 - Love it or hate it things Girls Need to Know to people interested in their

Image : http://www.flickr.com

World Cup 2010 is upon us and the whole country will soon finally be football crazy as the hopes and dreams of every fan in England will be compensated. Every World Cup the fans follow their team through thick and thin of all, will this year finally be the repetition of the boys in 1966 for the UK?

I know that every girl out there will be 27 days, the fear of constant football games, because they all football widowsbut everyone there is counting the days until that first game on 11 June, and I would guess that most have the time off work or take their employer has posted a TV all ready to go. But the biggest question for all English fans lips is - will this year be the year that the guys can do it?

So girls, what are the things we need to know, to fit us in?

Capello the England manager is with us for the duration or say such reports, but as it stands is the manhaving our hearts in his hand for the year 2010, so hopefully we do not break this year in the heart or if it please do not let it through pain I'm not sure that the guys in a position to end the Clock again.

So with Capello at the wheel, the steering will be the team forward, John Terry would, we believe our captain and he is the man for the job, I think certainly you need to do to his success and his determination to look like a player see his commitment to theTeam and his country.

So how can we prepare for the big calendar day on the football, even for beginners lets get fully behind the boy and show our ongoing support to them, I will forever think of all the World Cup merchandise! I can and to ensure everyone out there know that I am 100% behind the team, even if 50% of his commitment to having fun in the pub with the boys is.

Here's to the 2010 World Cup.

ICC World Cup 2011: England team Likely

Image : http://www.flickr.com

After lifting the T20 World Cup England suddenly have a lot of years another team from the one more last, we have known in.

There is a new determination in her eyelashes, and they have to wicket bowler. Importance of a spring in her step in the field. It seems a new self-belief that previously was not available.

And this is reflected in their recent games. In 2010, England have won 17 games and 12 for an impressive victoryPercentage of over 70%.

The lost five games include two against Australia and Pakistan and one against Bangladesh. It is important, does not England lose a single series against Pakistan and Australia by an identical margin of 3-2.

Twenty-one players players turned out for England in the 17 ODIs played them in 2010: Cook, Kieswetter, Pietersen, Collingwood, Morgan, Prior, Wright, Broad, Bresnan, Swann, Sidebottom, Treder, Shahzad, Plunkett, Yardy, Anderson ,Bopara, Bell, Davies, Trott and Strauss.

To select 14 from this amount, we need to do, drop is seven. Treder, Plunkett and Shahzad tried new ball bowler against Pakistan and Bangladesh are not doing enough to deserve attention.

The omission of these three, we are left with 18. There are three goalkeepers in Kieswetter, Prior and Davies. Kieswetter is the most reliable batsman of the three, although Prior and Davies got some useful points. I was never an advocate for the implementationa second goalie and that's why I want to keep weather gravel-and-drop the other two. In addition, gravel weather was a key member of the world championship team, and that it would be an edge in crunch situations.

Trott was a revelation in the Pakistan series in September. Cook has also proved to be reliable in testing than in ODIs, so I would choose for Trott before Cook. Now the last point is, a choice of seating between Bell and Bopara. Bell is better suited to Test cricket;Bopara has also played in India in the IPL.

First eleven: Strauss, Kieswetter, Pietersen, Collingwood, Morgan, Bopara, Yardy, Bresnan, Broad, Swann, Anderson, with Wright, Sidebottom, Trott and providing bank strength.

Pietersen is the only one who has not done very well could call in 2010, and some for him to replace in the first eleven of the rut. But class is permanent, and as he T20 world cup win Pietersen can be the one game on your own;His presence gives the team a psychological advantage.

In batting, gravel weather has not been very consistent, but given Strauss' brilliant form against Pakistan recently was the skipper is the perfect counterpart to Kiesenwetter aggression at the top of the Order proved. Collingwood and Morgan give the team great depth. Morgan has three centuries and has played in almost each of the 17 games in 2010.

This team has great balance, and bat deep to Swann at number10. Besides the four front line bowlers in Bresnan, Broad, Swann and Anderson, Bopara and Collingwood Yardy are also rounder and bowl. England rivals would underestimate Strauss squad at your own risk.

What hosting the 2010 World Cup has been completed for South Africa

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Many critics have called into question the utility of South Africa the 2010 World Cup, but there is no doubt about the enormous advantage that the tourism industry ownership des These critics question whether the 2010 World Cup should be social priorities have taken precedence over others and that it be no financial benefits to the country. There is a general agreement that the government break even on its capital investment. The president, Jacob Zuma said, a recent conference in Cape Town that the government is convinced that the 2010 has a success, with a good return on the investment of R33 billion in economic output for the transport infrastructure, telecommunications and stadiums. This had created an estimated 66 000 new construction jobs and ZAR1.3 billion spent on safety and security included the permanent addition of 40 000 new police officers. South Africa's finance minister confirmed that the> World Economy Add ZAR 38 billion of their country.

While many argue that the funds could be priorities were social better spent on housing or a number of others, there are very good reasons for the tourism industry Cup World are satisfied with the results of the change due to perceptions of South Africa, the rest of the world. It has amazement and admiration for the ability of the country has been host to such a successful internationalTournament, and it has moved nations in the perception of the world next to the shed developed its stereotypical image as a backward country.

The Internet, blogs and social media are full of positive comments from those who have visited South Africa during this tournament. The positive publicity has been massive, and it is now as a safe, friendly and positive place to visit and to do business noticed. The real benefit of hosting the World Cup 2010The production by South Africa in the world, tourism its will to grow the. The enormous amount of social networking has created a public image that amount of government spending could not fast, and this has Cape Town was extended by the many influential and public figures to the World Cup visited while, including former U.S. President Bill Clinton, said the city:

"South Africa has branded Cup in this world in a very special way. Many people do not think you can draw from. South Africa is an opportunity to learn from one that can set standards for the world. "

South Africa has a lot to positive its stock has more than exceeded most of the rest of the world, and the currency a year has appreciated about 30% in the past due to the massive influx of foreign investment capital in search of superior returns and interest rates when world compared to the the rest. The countrynow has a picture of a warm, stable and peaceful society, and is also one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The many positive comments from people who had to be surprised that South Africa is not filled with crime, in contrast to the negative image that previously shown, will help to change many perceptions. South African Tourism is to ensure an excellent job reporting on the major international TV networks during the tournament, when the interest of the country was at an all time high. A well-known Web-based hotel booking portal, has information that shows that Cape Town prices released the 9th, the most popular destination in 2010 for their customers.

Danny Jordaan, CEO of the Football World Cup 2010 Organising Committee says: "They said we would not build the stadium in time: we have said. They said we could, the infrastructure does not provide, in the had time, we, from the front. we could not the TV broadcast capability, the rest of the> World did. We "There were stories of crime and terrorism, and even an outbreak of giant snakes, said he has pointed. There was even a rumor that a major earthquake would hit opening that night. All this anxiety in mongering aimed Africa was to host naive to . the games South is a fact that South Africa the World Cup is a great success among the best run in history - perhaps the most profitable for the FIFA ever. "and

Tourism brings in about 4% of the South AfricanTotal GDP and is a major employer for a country with a lot of semi-skilled workers. lead the growth of tourism growth in job creation, as shown released in the new tourism strategy through its Minister of Tourism, which the creation of up to 225,000 new direct jobs and 400,000 indirect jobs in tourism and the promotion of Tourism's direct contribution to GDP target of ZAR R64bn and 3.4% in 2009 to ZAR R125bn 2015th

The official statistics about visitors to show for the timean increase in the number of tourists from the most traditional markets for South African tourism, but there are new markets develop as a result of reporting on the world championship, like the U.S., the composition appears to have South to discover Africa as it is the largest number of visitors from all countries. The country should take advantage of this massive Cup and prosperous market as a result of favorable world image portrays the country during the. TheTournament a success for South Africa was, but the main advantage is not the immediate economic benefits, but the current growth in tourism, such as Germany, a growth of 30% in tourist numbers to learn after they hosted the 2006 World Cup tournament, and this spread economic benefit, a large portion of her.

World Cup 2014 - Can Brazil Host It?

Image : http://www.flickr.com

In 2003 FIFA World Cup in South America is strong under its new rotation system (which starts in South Africa in 2010). The last time World Cup hosted in South America in Argentina in 1978.

However, mistrust started unnerving in September 2006 with Brazil's president admitting the country do not have the stadiums to host the event.

Brazil was the only country on the continent, they wanted to hold the event and saidwhy not? You have plenty of room, lots of live football and an opportunity by many investors.

Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said his country to build, stadiums, at least 12 FIFA-approved, if there are new plans on hosting the 2014 World Cup. "We do not have any stadium in a state of the games host World Cup," said Lula in a speech. "We're going to have to build at least 12 new stadiums in this country."

Far be it fromto the question of a president, but surely some existing stadiums in Brazil would someday be restored in the next six years. We also wonder how he came with number 12? While Germany had 12 stadiums in 2006, South Africa will have 10 venues in 2010.

The stadiums are only part of the equation. Anyone who has lived through a World Cup can be said that the investment in infrastructure for visitors is enormous support in the. They will plow money intoInfrastructure, accommodation, travel, tourism and facilities to meet for that.

Flights and accommodation must be drastically increased, and the global supply of the influx of people of all who will come out! We are certainly looking at a few hundred thousand alone every week? Moreover, these will pull in a lot of foreign investors and companies in Brazil, and real estate investors on the backs of the major global events like this trip!

Now,we believe it to be held available for that billion-dollar investment, has its economy
fairly constant in recent years, but senior official says Brazil is more than a year behind schedule in its construction projects for the 2014 World Cup.

The President of the SINAENCO, a Brazilian architectural and engineering association, says the government must strengthen its efforts or risk investments and improve the chance of hosting future events.

"Brazil is morethan a year behind, "Jose Roberto Bernasconi said recently at the annual meeting SINAENCO is." The authorities have become involved. "Bernasconi says the World Cup," promote Brazil and attract more investment in the future. "But all this is, if not met construction deadlines in jeopardy.

Brazil hosted the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro last year without major disruptions. Brazil is the Olympic Games 2016, which would in Rio bid, so they areglad to be back in full or investment in the long run. Looks pretty simple on paper, even more tangible.

The Perfect Storm - Rugby World Cup 2011

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The Rugby World Cup 2007 in France demonstrated how great rugby. Spectator numbers for the live championship, however, beat the 2 million mark in Rugby true form for the first time in the tournament's history after the sport's ruling body, the International Rugby Board (IRB). An estimated 4.2 billion TV viewers were glued to the screens Cup during the 2007 Rugby World. Television coverage around the world in doublesCountries such as Spain, Italy, Portugal and across Asia. There was no doubt that TV viewers in South Africa and the entire southern hemisphere would be responsible for a huge megawatt peak during the championship, but it was surprising that the program dramatically up viewings shot in Russia, India, Canada and the U.S. evidence Rugby global market that meets in a big way.

And no wonder. Both the pool stages and the knock-out rounds at the 2007 Rugby WorldCup were of an exceptionally high standard grasping fans megawatt light levels. The struggle and destiny was played on the court relentlessly. Rugby is a game with a complex psychology that the game requires tactics and of course "will kill" with the big blow ups, stomping and eye gouging, etc., make it, busy as any other game on earth.

If 2007 was anything to go to the world by storm expected to hit the perfect rugby, New Zealand in the2011th

After months of speculation whether the number of participating teams will be reduced to 16, the IRB announced on Friday 30th November 2007 that the 2011 Rugby World Cup tournament would again feature 20 teams. Twelve teams have already as a result of the top 3 in each group qualifying tournament in 2007, with 8 berths to win qualification. Argentina, Australia, England, Fiji, France, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, Tonga, and Wales qualified so far.

There are certainly many twists and turns between now and 2011. Three long years between us and the championship - enough time for heavy arsenals built. The 2011 World Cup should be an all-out war.

Before the existence inaugural Rugby World Cup hosted by Australia and New Zealand in May and June 1987 there were only regional international rugby union competitions. Although the Rugby> World Cup is a relatively recent event, the raw, complex and beautiful game of rugby was about time. The legendary "Six Nations Championship began in 1883 as the" Home Nations Championship between England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. In 1910 the "Home Nations", the "Five Nations" with France was strengthened across the Channel to attend the tournament. From 1931 to 1939 France did not participate and the championship was again the "Home Nations". In 2000 went to Italymake it the "Six Nations".

The Tri-Nations rugby series is the oldest in the southern hemisphere, with the first match played between Australia and New Zealand in 1903. South Africa toured only two nations in 1921.

Rugby union was played at the Summer Olympics for the first time at the 1900 Paris Games, where France won the first gold medal. The London 1908 Olympic Games saw the rugby union again with the gold will Australasia. At the Antwerp Games in 1920 and in 1924 in ParisPlay both gold went to the United States. However rugby union was soon removed from the Summer Olympics program.

In the 1950s the idea of a Rugby World Cup, but was thrown back and forth encountered resistance from most unions in the IRFB. In the 1980s the term was in the air again at the Australian Rugby Union (ARU) and the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) independently wrote to the IRFB in hopes of staging the first Rugby World Cup tournament. In1985 was clear that Australia, New Zealand and France cup were in favor of a world. The South African delegates voted with the knowledge that the international sports boycott for its apartheid regime would cup prevent their participation in the world. The English and Welsh MPs switched sides and with 10 votes to 6 the IRFB approved the first cup.

Preparations for the 2011 Rugby World Cup is like runningMovement. From 19 February 2008, New Zealand's progress in preparing and implementing plans for the event, an A + rating from the International Rugby Board Chairman and Chief Executive.

The 2011 Rugby World Cup is expected to cost about $ NZ 310 million to run and generate NZ $ 280 million in ticket sales. The 2011 Rugby World Cup Cup is the biggest sports event ever in New Zealand, the shadow of the 1987 Rugby World,1990 Commonwealth Games America's Cup in 2003 and 2005 British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand. About 70,000 foreign visitors expected Cup trip to New Zealand as a result of the 2011 Rugby World.

Accommodation solutions for the 2011 Rugby World Cup visitors must creatively 70,000 to house the expected. Auckland can use to alleviate cruise ships and RV parks possible accommodation shortage. Many rugbyFans looking forward to sleep on plush cruise ships in the stunning Auckland Harbour.

Visit the official site of Tourism New Zealand to plan your vacation and find out what on.

Benefits of hosting FIFA World Cup

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The FIFA World Cup is an amazing international event held every four years. Fans from all over the world descend culture of the host country brought an outpouring of color, passion, and energy. The world is a wonderful game award of the country that plays host as a plus in the event promising to global broadcast, tourism and inject millions of dollars into the economy.

FIFA, the international governing body for football (soccer)required to meet the hosts with detailed requirements and specifications, including security, transportation, accommodation, training facilities, opening and closing ceremonies, marketing, sales promotion, ticketing, insurance and other administrative matters.

Are there financial risks worth hosting such an event? Infrastructure issues (such as airports, roads, stadiums and public transport) are to host such an event is usually among the major complications. When Athens hosted the OlympicGames in 2004, went their budget of U.S. $ 1,600,000,000 U.S. $ 16,000,000,000: Beijing in 2008 was of U.S. $ 1.6 billion U.S. dollars to about U.S. 40,000,000,000th London price tag for the 2012 Games has blown from U.S. $ 5,000,000,000 to approximately U.S. $ 20,000,000,000th Until now, Africa is estimated to have spent U.S. $ and South 5000000000 1100000000 FIFA U.S. $ on the preparations before the World Cup kick-off of the 2010th

Potentially millions of dollars from tourists can be injected in small businesses, hotels, restaurants,Souvenir shops, tours and transport from the host of the FIFA tournament. However, the costs associated with a significant influx of visitors by ensuring security for all fans and teams, anti-terrorism activities, police work and racial sensitivities purchase and installation of high-tech surveillance equipment.

The proceeds from the sale of tickets for the games, if it were not reached back to the host country fire, it can take years to work again for hosting such a globalEvent. The story is about the success of hosting the FIFA tournament. this world event can benefit the host country's overall risk and its local suppliers / industry in the coming years.

The study by a U.S. economist at the historical experience of the host countries since 1954 showed that in 7 of the 13 tournaments since 1954, economic growth has been slower in the World Cup year than in the two years before the event. On the other hand, 9 of the 13 hostNations since 1954, a faster economic growth in the 2 years after the event showed.

As for the FIFA World Cup is that it brings the world together through competition to promote cross-cultural interaction and understanding among peoples. In a world plagued by wars, intolerance, racism, religious, FIFA World Cup with the universal brotherhood of whose benefits for humanity is impossible to quantify.

6 billionPeople watch the Olympics, but that is pale in comparison to the 26 billion that is estimated to see World Cup to FIFA.

South Africa hosts the FIFA 2010 World Cup in June-July. The next FIFA World Cup July 2002 June to 2014 in Brazil, a nation that was crowned World Champion 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994, and.

World Cup 2010 Calendar Finalized

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The 2010 World Cup calendar, and Germany has concluded with the victories of the Netherlands and Spain each against Uruguay. On Saturday, 10 Uruguay is to define Germany in Port Elizabeth face to face, who will be the third and 4

No matter what the outcome will be, the players, coaches and staff of the Uruguayan team are expected on Monday in their country for a great reception in the government: they are among the 4 best teams in the> World!

Everyone had expected, Brazil and Argentina among them, but the smallest country made it into the final round. The last time was Uruguay in the final was in 1970 and in 1930 and 1950 they won the world title. It looks like the years with a "0" years are good for them.

Germany expected that at the Johannesburg Sunday 11 July play, but their expectations were not met, as they lost to Spain. Someone says that the octopus has been roasted for that Paul!In 2006, when they played at home it was Italy, which she thought of breaking through. They lost 2-0. This time it was Spain, which spoiled their dream of winning the final 1-0.

Whatever happens on the night of the 11th July, it may well be that a team that will win World Cup has never won. Of course, it is one of two: either the Netherlands or Spain.

No matter what the outcome will be, the players, coaches and staff of the Spanish teamEven as heroes when they are able to never get even that far in 80 years World Cup's history. If they win the title the whole country is party for the next coming 80!

This is the third time that the Netherlands is in the final round, but until now they have never won. In 1974 they lost to Germany 2-1 in 1978 against Argentina 3-1. Who knows if they'll do it this time? If they are, they are also the only team winning all itsGames ..

The World Cup 2010 calendar is ready, but until Sunday, 11 July, it is not known what will be the order of the remaining 4 teams.

For the first time the 32 nations football tournament will be held in Africa. South Africa is the host country, and new football facilities and the improvement of the existing out lie that can be guaranteed up to the land isready to host the world.

Countries that the same conditions as the venue, good sports facilities, developed infrastructure, media and property is useful.

Of all the nations in Africa, none fits better in this categorysuch as Kenya. Apart from the 60,000-seat Moi International Sports Complex, the country also has two other stadiums in the city, town and Nyayo stadiums of international standard. The City Stadium, which has a long history as the home of dreams for football players and fans, is set for major renovations until 2010.

Kenya is known as a lively destination. There are excellent accommodations in Kenya, which has been used over the years by millions of touriststo visit the many attractions of the country. ICC World Cup 2011: Australia team likely

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Australia has 2011 Cup was one of the favorites for the ICC World. Their ODI record in 2010 speaks for itself, in 21 games they played, 15 games won, lost only five, while one match ended without result.

Compare this with the Indian plate in 2010, India have played 21 games, and 12 won, while losing 9th Importantly, they lost the Asian Cup, with four teams in January and did better as the year rolled on, and in her last match, the effectiveFinal of the tri-series in Sri Lanka lost, chasing 300 to win.

A nitpicker might point out that Australia's ODI rivals over the course of the year included India, and that it is not clear how well the Aussies would do against India in India. Rewind back to Australia last ODI series in India were the two sides in a seven-game series involving days in October 2009 and the series went 4-2 to promote Australia.

Even considering the fact that this is not the most powerful Australian squad wehave seen, the Kangaroos' fighting spirit slowly dying. Consider the Indian many failures in the last 20 years or more in tournaments with four or more teams, and you get a better perspective.

That is, the current Indian side is the strongest we have long seen as, in one, and they will imagine that what could well last World Cup Sachin Tendulkar.

Coming on the likely Australian eleven for the World Cup, look at the eleventhat was required in the final game against England in Australia at Lord's. Australia won the match, but lost the series 3-2.

The Lord's match had the following eleven: Watson, Paine, Ponting, White, Marsh, Hussey, Smith, hopes, Harris, Bollinger and Tait.

Interestingly, these eleven not included Clarke, the captain of the Australian squad for the ongoing ODI series in India.

The fourteen players for the ongoing ODI series against India include short list, many of these playersmissing teeth Watson, Ponting, Harris, Tait and Johnson.

probably Australian 14 for the ODI World Cup to be co-hosts India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are My: Watson, Paine, Ponting, Hussey, Clarke, Marsh, White, Harris, Bollinger, Hauritz, Johnson, Tait, hopes Smith.

I have a broad assumption that all agree on these players and made available. This team has the world's fastest bowler in Tait, a talented left-arm new ball operators in Johnson,an exact closing in Bollinger, an orthodox off-spinner in Hauritz and a left arm spin googly bowler in Smith. The team owes its balance to an excess of all-rounder like Watson, Clarke, White, Smith, Johnson, and hopes.

In addition, the Aussies a run-time-hungry farmers Paine, a mature opening batsman in Watson of innings has learned to build on, while she an aggressive run scorer, a solid middle class, order, and a captain, World won has Cups of two to its clock, a record heShares with Clive Lloyd.p>

You would notice that I have not been picked, a second goalkeeper. It's always a case for a full-time as Brad Healy, Healy but can not get the team on the strength of his batting alone, and he can not bowl. So his selection would hurt the Aussies in their strength, that the all-rounder.

So what if the Aussies Paine gets hurt to do? There are many others, including captain Ponting, which can fill up the fact that all Aussiesgood field players not injured in the squad.

South Africa World Cup preview of the Games - Sunday 20 June

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Sunday night brings five times winners Brazil back on the football field. They will face the Ivory Coast at 19:30. Paraguay will play 12:30 Slovakia and the other match in Group F 15:00 see the world champions Italy face New Zealand in

The early kick at 12:30 clock shows left Paraguay and Slovakia. With Roque Santa Cruz in Paraguay, the line-up will ensure the knock-out stages of progress. Although Slovakia has played well in their world cupQualification I think it is for them to make the last sixteen hard. I predict a 0-0 draw as both teams will look to take something from their game.

The 3-Clock Kick-off is the current world football champions play their second game of the tournament against the team from Down Under. 4 years ago they played another team from Down Under. The Australians came within 1 minute, the Italians a penalty kick. With a goal from the leftback, the Italians went on to win the world championship time for the 4th. Somehow I do not think that New Zealand are in the same league as Australia. Do not have a world-famous players and so I predict a simple 3-0 win Auzzari one to the.

Five-time world champion Brazil maintained Ivory Coast. As one of the strongest African nations at the World Cup, Ivory Coast with their star striker Drogba is the Dider represent a major threat to Braziltheir qualifying group. I predict a great game open ends in a 3-2 victory to Brazil. Somehow it's always the big teams, assert themselves.

Victory of Pakistan Hockey in 1994 Sydney World Cup

Image : http://www.flickr.com

One of the most memorable wins for Pakistan in Hockey is the World Cup win in 1994 that brought to the forefront a hero - Shahbaz Ahmad. He went on to become one of the best forwards in the history of Pakistan Hockey. After having joined the national hockey team in 1986, he masterminded a brilliant win - the 1994 world cup. Shahbaz Ahmad was nicknamed "the man with the electric heels" and led Pakistan from the front in the 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989 Champions Trophy tournaments; 1988 Seoul Olympics; 1989 Asia Cup in New Delhi; 1990 World Hockey Cup in Lahore; 1990 BMW Trophy Amsterdam; 1990 Beijing Asiad and the most memorable of them all - the 1994 World Cup Hockey in Sydney.

The Hockey World Championships is considered to be an international field hockey competition just like FIFA soccer world cup where teams from across the world participate to win the coveted cup. It is organized once every 4 years by the International Hockey Federation (FIH). The first world cup was started in 1971. There are two versions of the Hockey world cup - the men's and the women's. So far five countries have dominated the Hockey world cup but the most successful team is Pakistan who has won it four times. The Netherlands has won the Hockey world cup three times, Germany two times while both India and Australia have won it once. The 2010 Hockey world cup is going to be held in India.

In fact, the entire concept of the Hockey World Cup was conceived by Air Marshal Nur Khan of Pakistan. The idea was proposed to FIH under the name of Patrick Rowley who was the first editor of the World Hockey magazine. The idea got the approval on 26th October, 1969 and was adopted by the then FIH Council in a meeting that was held in Brussels on 12th April, 1970. The FIH came to the conclusion that the inaugural or first hockey World Cup should be held in Pakistan in October 1971. However, due to political strife and several other issues, the venue of the World Cup was moved from Pakistan to the Real Club de Polo grounds in Barcelona, Spain.

The 1971 Hockey world cup in Spain was won by Pakistan who defeated Spain 1-0 in the finals. In the 1994 World Cup in Sydney Australia, Pakistan was up against a strong opponent - The Netherlands. The match ended in a 1-1 draw and went into extra time and then into penalties. Pakistan then went on to win the final on penalties and the score line read 4-3. This was the 4th world cup for Pakistan and Shahbaz Ahmad led them to victory in style. This further reinforced Pakistan as one of the top hockey playing countries of the world. Shahbaz Ahmad also won another laurel - the player of the tournament.

As the 2010 Hockey world cup date draws close, we will have to wait and watch out for the "men in green!"

World Cup 2010 - Who's In, Who's Out?

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Argentina's coach, former legend Diego Maradona, who gave the soccer shirt 10 an iconic status back in the day, prayed for divine intervention hoping that his team reaches the 2010 World Cup at South Africa. After a 3-1 defeat against rival Brazil, that too, on home ground, things don't look too good for the Argentineans. It was their first defeat at home after being defeated 5-0 by Colombia 16 years back. But Maradona stood his ground, repeating, "The bearded one (God) saved me many times before - and I hope he will do so this time."

Having lost to Paraguay as well, Argentina now stand fifth in the continental group, a place below the final qualifying berth. Ready to take on Peru on home ground, plus a make or break match against Uruguay, Argentinean fans are keeping their fingers crossed, as is their coach. "We have to get it into our heads that these two games are crucial to our hopes and we can't keep giving things away such as we did against Brazil," said Maradona. Recently, while on a slimming course in Italy, fans surrounded him, complaining that a World Cup without Argentina just wouldn't be the same... He is said to have responded, "Don't worry, Argentina will be there." So, it's a match against the Peruvians and another crucial game against arch rivals Uruguay that'll decide Argentina's fate. Both Argentina and Uruguay could be vying for fifth place in the South American qualifying group, making it a critical match.

Meanwhile, Brazilian coach Dunga has earmarked a 24 man team before the South American group's final two games, hoping to give more players experience. Brazil will soon play Bolivia, followed by Venezuela. Dunga explained, "We have two games ahead and the first one is very wearing, but we'll try to do our best in Bolivia... Despite we have already qualified, we're Brazil and we have to win always. We try to keep the group and give chances to some new players."

Spain's soccer uniform number 6, Xavi Hernandez, feels that England is a strong candidate that can come in the way of Spain's World Cup dreams. Backing England as one of his favorites to win the 2010 World Cup, the midfielder feels that, "England were the big absence from Euro 2008 and I expect they are itching to show they can win the World Cup. They will be among our biggest rivals along with Brazil, Italy and Germany. And we might see a surprise this time from an African country like Ivory Coast. They look very strong to me right now." World Cup Spotlight - David Villa

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The Spanish team has done incredibly well in South Africa this year. Much of that is thanks to star striker David Villa, who has scored 5 of the team's 7 goals.

David Villa was born in Langreo, in northern Spain, on December 3, 1981. The 28 year old currently plays for Barcelona, but has also played for La Liga teams Sporting Gijon, Zaragoza and Valencia since starting his professional career in 1999. He made his move to Barcelona in May 2010.

Acquiring this golden star was no mistake for the city; he is the second best all-time scorer for Spain. (Raul Gonzalez has the record with 44 goals.) Villa has played for his country in the 2006 World Cup, the Euro 2008, and the 2010 World Cup. Villa scored three goals in 2006, four in Euro 2008 and five so far this World Cup. Many say that his ambition and strength have helped lead Spain to the position they are in today; undefeated save two games since November 2006.

And though he is not the top Spanish scorer, he has what may be an even more impressive rank: between 2005 and 2009 he scored the most goals in the world. His 156 goals in four years earned him the IFFHS titles of 4th best scorer in 2009 and top scorer at the international level in 2010.

David Villa fought great odds to end up where he is today. He fractured his femur when playing as a child, and doctors were not sure he would be able to continue playing the sport he loves. Thankfully for Spain, he made a full recovery. Due to the effort to heal put in by David and the support of his father, Jose Manuel, Villa became an ambidextrous player.

David Villa will play in the 2010 World Cup finals with his team against the Netherlands July 11.

World Cup Superstars - Who is the greatest player?

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Every four years a World Cup will come and take a football fan thought and time for weeks. Game after game, the best footballer in the world their skills in front of thousands at the stadium and millions watch the parade on TV again in their homes.

Players

Players usually make the World Cup, what it is. If there were not great players, we would certainly not be watching this tournament in large numbers,we do. In previous World Cup finals we have seen the emergence of a great talent, talents, we can not see normally.

History

Which players have to discover the world after displaying their skills in previous World Cups? It would be far too many variables to be able to list in detail and has always always been heated discussions about who the greatest player of all time, two players always on the head of thethe debate.

Let's look at these players credentials.

Diego Armando Maradona [Argentina]

[World championship titles: 1982, 1986 (winners), 1990 (2nd), 1994]

Maradona is a flawed genius, no one has ever raised his talents and be able to press the self-destruction with such great effect. Never before has a player been credited with winning the 1986 World Cup trophy with one hand as in Mexico. Even in the notorious 1986Quarter-final and scoring what is widely the best goal ever scored in the Finals considered. After picking the ball in his own half, he managed to dribble your way through a hi quality England side before slotting the ball past Peter Shilton, the England goalkeeper on the day.

The Argentine team, with whom he played in this tournament were all excellent players but maybe not good enough to lift the trophy. But with Maradona at the height of his power could onlybe a team that could possibly win.

Maradona also helped his nation to the final of the 1990 World Cup Italy and only lost in the German Andy Brehme penalty by.

However, it was after failing a doping test in 1991, his career on the way back, and then his last appearance came on the biggest stage of football.

In 1994, the World Cup in the United States when he scored in the first game of the Argentines against Greece anyone who watched hisCelebration knew it was not just that the little magician adreneline powered. Eyes glaring into the camera, knew the hearts of Argentines that drugs were fueling their talismanic captain. A drug test followed and the inevitable positive result Maradona's tournament and effectively ended his career.

Edson Arantes do Nascimento - Pele

[World championship titles: 1958 (winners), 1962 (winners), 1966, 1970 (winner)]

The only similarity betweenPele and Maradona is that they come from the same continent. Pele was the original World superstar, enjoying a career, the professional model A can be regarded as a being.

Pele's credentials are there for all to see, he set up goals, he was an instrumental leader on and off the field, and he also scored goals. In fact, the amount of goals he scored an important power for themselves.

His record is phenomenal, scoring five goals in a game six times, four goals and 30 timesthree goals 90 times. These figures are the modern player can never dream of matching. In his illustrious career as a player, he scored an amazing total of 1283 to achieve. In his international career he scored an astonishing 77 goals in 92 appearances. However, there was a lot more to offer than "just" goals Pele.

He will also be recalled repeatedly as the only player in history to win the World Cup on three occasions, a feat that is unlikely ever to. Only an injury in 1966 inEngland may have kept him from winning the World Cup on four consecutive occasions, so that a fine England side to become world champion for the first time.

He was captain of the greatest team of all time, the 1970 Brazil side that won the tournament so convincingly in Mexico. Who has the last game of the tournament, which Brazil defeated Italy observed by four goals to one, is on the skill and vision of the original sum astonished FootballPage.

Since Pele hung his playing boots for over 20 years and is still dominated by football fans, the evidence never seen him in his prime by the great man's passion and skill for the biggest game of all worships.

Other major players

Many others have graced the biggest Cup tournament in the world is that, but the above two players are two previously announced as the largest. But who would complete the top ten?

Gordon Banks, Eusebio,Puskas, Zinedine Zidane, Michel Platini, Franz Beckenbauer, Garrincha and the Johann Cruyff to name but a few. In fact, many modern critics like Cruyff as the greatest modern player, a player who helped the game in the way of playing shape you see today.

Then there are players who do not manage to show their talents to Ireland at the World Cup, which is worth the end, great George Best in the North. The other major absentee voting is Alfredo DiStefano. There are actually many Latin Americans would hail the 'Blonde Arrow' Di Stefano as the greatest player who has seen the world, ever.

play In the still, Czech Republic playmaker Pavel Nedved, Juventus, Manchester United Dutch predator Ruud van Nistelrooy and Ukrainian goal-machine Andrey Shevchenko, AC Milan, would top the list. But all three will appear in Germany in 2006, except for injuries late, and will probably write some new headlines.

Welooking forward to this year's event with great enthusiasm and hopefully it will be remembered as one of the biggest tournaments of all time in memory. Let us all hope!

World Cup Penalty games and tips for a successful penalty shoot-out (Part 1 - goalkeeper)

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Probably the most famous World Cup penalty failure ever, Baggio, Italy's star player during the tournament in 1994 America stood, Roberto main bowed in horror after he drove the penalty Cup world that Brazil's hands. Since then, illustrious career, Baggio Brazil always haunted by his penalty against melancholy, as he described in his autobiography, "Una Porta nel cielo - A door in the sky

World Cup Playersare not technically in the game they usually have the best, should have no problem finding the back of the net. However, increasingly take a penalty will be a nerve-racking situation with the weight of expectation and responsibility enough to turn the strongest legs to jelly.

Keeper of view is the body language of the penalty taker, the goalkeeper of the first idea what his opponent's mind. Famous Oliver Kahn said in Germany: "You can read a lot of bodyLanguage of the players and where they place they think ... It is a psychological duel between the goalkeeper and the penalty taker "By understanding the body language signal, the goalkeeper may ways the enemy to distract concentration are mentioned as Kahn." You can attract him with your body language, you can see if a player anxious, and you can see from his eyes when he takes a small mistake in the corner, the ball does. "

Some of the psychological tricks that havepreviously also jumping on the front of the diving left to right use (Jens Lehmann - Germany in 2006 against Argentina), is a sudden attack of hands before the shooting or a steely gaze towards the opponent (Petr Cech, the Czech Republic). An unpopular, but effective trick was used by Ricardo - Portugal where David Bechkham in 2006. He was waiting for Beckham to come too close to the spot, and said short sentences with warning gestures, his eyes would see the ballcarefully. Well that's enough to make a star player like Beckham crack under the pressure. (See clip below). Others may think football, they hop up and down and give shooters. However, it is used, as long as the shooter is distracted or intimidated, the goalkeeper has the better chance of success.

Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech believes that in addition to body language, homework and preparation that is needed to save a goal: "You have to do your homework, you know where thePlayers can shoot, what is his habit when he is waiting for the goalkeeper or if he chooses around the corner. "On the other hand, Kahn was that he not remember what he had researched about his opponent when his team beat Bayern Munich, Valencia sanctions of the 2001 Champions League final:" I remember very clearly, I was my coach Sepp Maier together to figure out what all the players tactics. But I forgot everything. I just went through a stage of absolute concentration. Icould not hear the crowd, the supporters of anything. "Of course you do not need as much preparation as goalkeeper Jens Lehmann from Germany, who held a personal touch to each shooter favorite position in his shin pad.

So it is to stay strong for goalkeeper, calm, confident and important to the state of absolute concentration. You also need the ability to mentally very quickly after missing a shot for the next preparation. These are skills that usually demand some complicatedSport Psychology commitment.

Finally, a certain affirmation is very effective to build trust. A valuable commentary by Kahn, it is worth mentioning is your goalie, "Takers are those who can lose on penalties, those who win in the shootout and goalie eventually be the heroes can be."

T20 World Cup Cricket

Image : http://www.flickr.com

What will be the status of the winners when they emerge victorious from the tournament this month? It may sound to be a strange question, but think about how absurd it would in any other sport. Imagine, six months after the FIFA World Cup, another tournament, also called the World Cup was played with pretty much the same teams fielding pretty much the same player in a pretty similar tournament format with pretty similar viewing figures (bothReasons and on television), but with 45-minute games instead of the full 90th

I am not questioning the existence of T20, because I love cricket, and I understand that this ultra-intense, short format means the game that people can an entire game to watch in one evening after work, it gives the game more stimulus more coverage, more peak-time advertising opportunity and thus more money. There is also a great spectacle.

I just think its going to be strange if there were two worldMaster of cricket.

Test cricket is of course a very different kettle of fish, tactics and gameplay are completely different game than the one day. The length of time will be played, and massive opportunity attracts means that a ranking system page is the only way to produce a 'world number one team, "while 50 overs-a is suitable for concrete results in the finite time a tournament. 20-20 is very much as 50-50 in its style and ethos: score as many runs as possibleas fast as you can, as many runs as miserly limit as you can. He can also 'Cup will be played in a tournament in the world, "why we have this second.

The winner will therefore entitled to win the World Cup Cricket and the best in the shortened version of the game. But the team that lifted the World Cup Australia India in the West a few months ago have already suggested that title. And "Twenty20 world champion" does not really meannothing, at least not yet: so few T20s are played internationally (England have played the most in history with a total of 6; India have played only 2) that no one really care. The games are so short that a second-rate international team lift the trophy imaginable. The deficiencies in Zimbabwe side could perhaps be papered over three hours at a time which would undoubtedly lead to a collapse of an entire day or more. What happens when a "minnow" to win the whole thing? They are so playedrarely by the test-Nations that the "world champion" label will be redundant until they play again the tournament.

One solution would be an annual or biennial T20 tournament is not played outside the international T20, have. Then it would be clear that T20, while popular and important, is not of the same caliber and class as the official Cricket World Cup, in the same way that Six Nations is the highly competitive every year, but with theWinning side makes no claims to total global superiority. Perhaps the difficulties vanish like T20 is its niche. But the easiest solution to avoid this time argument or confusion would be if Australia won the Danged thing. No doubt they undertake.
